Aisling

I lost a bet to Aisling. After many days of oversleeping our hiking trips, she finally decided to wake up on her own, without the help of my messages and missed-calls. I, of course, didn't buy it. But she did get up on her own and so it's another morning of chatting up and down the hill.

The damned stairs leading towards the Moongate rest-point.

The ineffably awesome view from the hill. It looks better if you see it in person.

Oh, and we argued over her choice of name for quite a while. She didn't think "Aisling" sounded as funny as I thought it was. She rants on about it being the name of some iconic figure in Druidism. Druidism?!
And so I did a little digging and what I found had nothing to do with the mythical Celtic priests (Hah, in your face!). The name, in fact, is an Irish term meaning "dream" or "vision", and is also a common name for girls.
Aisling (pronounced as "ash-ling") is also a poetic genre and has spawned names such as Ashlyn or Ashlynn. Oh well, that's OK then, as long as it's not pronounced "ice-ling". Now that sounds weird.
So there, Aisling, what about them druids, eh?
